you stop
believing

i peel away the layers
one by one,
until i see
the raw,
the fragile.
who i truly am
was never what they told me,
it was never meant
to be hidden.
learning
every day
i teach my hands
to hold
not grasp.
i teach my heart
to soften
not prove.
i teach my mind
that love is not a destination
but a home i never had to leave.
to the sea
you are my emotions,
always in motion.
sometimes calm,
sometimes stormy,
never the same.
you teach me
to witness it all
the stillness,
the chaos,
and to trust
that after the storm
the waves will settle
and clarity will return.
